Job Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales operations in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG sales, regional distribution management, team leadership, and achieving revenue growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase FMCG product sales and market share in the assigned region.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the regional sales team, area sales managers, and sales officers to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, channels, and key accounts to expand regional coverage.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and key stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and provide insights to improve market positioning.
- Ensure effective route-to-market (RTM) strategies and execution.
- Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for the region.
- Conduct regular market visits to ensure visibility, availability, and merchandising of products.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and manage credit limits for distributors.
- Coordinate closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5–8 years of proven experience in FMCG sales management, with at least 2 years in a regional leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of distribution management, channel sales, and modern trade/general trade.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
