Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to oversee sales operations within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have strong FMCG experience, expertise in distribution management, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute regional sales plans to achieve revenue and market share targets.
- Lead and supervise Area Sales Managers and Sales Officers to meet monthly and annual sales goals.
- Expand distribution network and identify new business opportunities, including key accounts and emerging channels.
- Maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and trade partners.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and pricing strategies to strengthen market positioning.
- Ensure effective Route-to-Market (RTM) implementation and optimal product availability.
- Prepare sales forecasts, manage regional budgets, and submit performance reports.
- Conduct regular market visits to ensure product visibility, merchandising standards, and stock availability.
- Oversee receivables, ensure timely collections, and manage distributor credit limits.
- Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and finance departments for smooth operational execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5–8 years of FMCG sales experience, including at least 2 years in a regional leadership role.
- Strong understanding of distribution systems, general trade, and modern trade channels.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and make strategic decisions.
