About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Relationship Officer to drive the growth of our payment solutions across the SME segment in Bahrain. This role requires a dynamic individual, responsible for acquiring merchants, managing relationships, and achieving sales target.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and experience in industries such as FinTech, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Telecom, POS solutions, or related technology sectors .


Key Responsibilities:

Merchant Acquisition & Sales:

  • Identify, engage, and acquire SME and retail merchants for digital payment acceptance solutions, including QR payments, digital wallets, and related fintech products.
  • Execute the complete merchant acquisition lifecycle, covering lead generation, prospecting, product presentation, negotiation, closure, and merchant onboarding.
  • Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly targets for merchant acquisition, transaction activation, and revenue contribution.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with SME owners and key business decision-makers to ensure long-term engagement and retention.
  • Coordinate with internal operations and onboarding teams to ensure smooth merchant activation and timely go-live.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and merchant data in CRM and reporting systems.


Market & Industry Insight:

  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer behaviour in Bahrain.
  • Provide actionable feedback to product and marketing teams for improvements and promotions.


Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, and market insights.
  • Analyze sales metrics to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years in B2B sales, preferably in FinTech, PSPs, Telecom, or POS solutions .
  • Experience managing a small team is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of acquiring and managing SME accounts.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the payments ecosystem and SME market in Bahrain is a plus.
