About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced
Relationship Officer
to drive the growth of our payment solutions across the SME segment in Bahrain. This role requires a dynamic individual, responsible for acquiring merchants, managing relationships, and achieving sales target.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and experience in industries such as
FinTech, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Telecom, POS solutions, or related technology sectors
.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchant Acquisition & Sales:

Identify, engage, and acquire SME and retail merchants for digital payment acceptance solutions, including QR payments, digital wallets, and related fintech products.

Execute the complete merchant acquisition lifecycle, covering lead generation, prospecting, product presentation, negotiation, closure, and merchant onboarding.

Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly targets for merchant acquisition, transaction activation, and revenue contribution.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with SME owners and key business decision-makers to ensure long-term engagement and retention.

Coordinate with internal operations and onboarding teams to ensure smooth merchant activation and timely go-live.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and merchant data in CRM and reporting systems.
Market & Industry Insight:

Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer behaviour in Bahrain.

Provide actionable feedback to product and marketing teams for improvements and promotions.
Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, and market insights.

Analyze sales metrics to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.

Experience:

5+ years in B2B sales, preferably in
FinTech, PSPs, Telecom, or POS solutions
.

Experience managing a small team is highly preferred.

Proven track record of acquiring and managing SME accounts.

Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Familiarity with the payments ecosystem and SME market in Bahrain is a plus.
