Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for diverse clients, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations
• Review financial documents such as income statements, expense reports, and bank statements to accurately compile client data
• Utilize accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools to organize and analyze client information
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering client inquiries, explaining tax strategies, and offering personalized advice
• Conduct analysis of financial data to identify deductions, credits, and opportunities for tax savings
• Maintain meticulous records of all client interactions, filings, and correspondence for audit readiness
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and industry best practices through continuous learning

Requirements

• Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related financial roles with a strong understanding of tax concepts
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software is a plus
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, corporate accounting practices, and bookkeeping processes
• Excellent analysis skills combined with strong math aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
• Strong communication skills to effectively explain complex financial information to clients
• Experience in sales or marketing is advantageous for promoting services and expanding client relationships

Total Pack Financial Services is currently seeking motivated and professional Remote 1099 Tax Preparers for the upcoming tax season beginning January 15. This is a great opportunity for both experienced and new preparers looking to grow within the tax industry while working remotely.

Position Details

• Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
• Location: Remote
• Start Date: January 15
• Pay: $50.00 per completed tax return regardless of return type
• Flexible Schedule

Requirements

• Must have a valid PTIN
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Basic computer and tax software knowledge preferred
• New preparers are welcome to apply

Training & Support

We are willing to train new tax preparers and provide guidance on:

• Tax preparation processes
• Marketing and advertising strategies
• How to obtain and retain clients
• Building your own client base

All new leads and clients generated through company advertising efforts will be assigned to preparers.
