Job Overview:
As an Architectural Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and development of architectural projects. Working closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, you will contribute to the creation of innovative and functional architectural solutions that meet client requirements, design objectives, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design Development:
- Collaborate with architects and project teams to develop architectural designs, concepts, and sketches based on client requirements, site conditions, and project objectives.
- Translate conceptual designs into detailed architectural drawings, plans, and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) software..
- Technical Analysis and Evaluation:
- Conduct technical analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate the structural integrity, constructability, and performance of architectural designs.
- Collaborate with structural engineers, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) engineers, and other consultants to integrate architectural designs with building systems and infrastructure.
- Construction Documentation:
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and documentation packages for architectural elements, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Coordinate with project teams to produce accurate and comprehensive construction documents that facilitate the bidding, permitting, and construction phases of architectural projects.
- Visualization and Presentation:
- Create renderings, visualizations, and presentation materials to communicate design concepts, ideas, and narratives to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Participate in design charrettes, client meetings, and design reviews to present and discuss architectural proposals, options, and solutions.
- Quality Assurance and Coordination:
- Conduct quality checks and reviews of architectural drawings, models, and documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve design conflicts, coordination issues, and technical challenges during the design and construction phases.
- Support interdisciplinary coordination and collaboration efforts to achieve integrated and cohesive architectural solutions that meet project goals and objectives.
Requirements
- B.Sc. Architectural Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the architectural design related to water and wastewater works.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT.
