Remote Software Support Specialist

Job Summary:

The Software Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and deployment to end users for software and desktop applications. This role ensures the smooth operation of technology infrastructure, including troubleshooting issues, installing software and applications and data migration. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a customer-service mindset, and solid technical system expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for software and system applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues via phone, email, chat, and remote support tools.
  • Assist with software installation, configuration, and updates for end users.
  • Perform data handling and migration tasks using Excel and CSV files.
  • Remotely connect with users using tools such as AnyDesk or other MDM/remote access tools to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the service desk ticketing system (e.g., Zendesk).

Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3–4 years of experience in a desktop support, technical support, or software support role.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude and professional demeanour.
  • Excel Skills (Required): Data formatting and clean-up, Sorting and filtering large datasets, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, Basic formulas and CSV file handling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a BPO or technical support environment serving US-based clients. Fluent English communication skills with a neutral or clear accent, both written and verbal.
  • Experience handling voice-based technical support or customer interactions with international clients.

Work Timing: 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Monday to Friday)
