Remote Structural Design Engineer

Job Summary:

Senior Structural Design Engineers are responsible for the design and construction of buildings and structures that are safe, durable, and capable of withstanding environmental and human-induced forces They also focus on enhancing the structural integrity of existing buildings, ensuring they meet safety standards

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyze structural components of buildings (e.g., beams, columns, slabs) to determine their behavior under loads.
• Perform structural calculations to determine stresses, pressures, and strains due to usage or environmental loads.
• Select appropriate construction materials (e.g., concrete, steel, brick) based on strength and design requirements.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and 3D models using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, etc.
• Use structural analysis and design software to simulate performance and verify compliance with standards.
• Liaise and coordinate remotely with architects and other design disciplines to ensure safe and aesthetically acceptable designs.
• Review project scope, drawings, and documentation to ensure alignment with contracts and technical requirements.
• Support in preparing technical documents for tenders, proposals, and project submissions.
• Generate progress reports and communicate updates to clients and senior management via email or online meetings.
• Mentor and guide junior structural engineers remotely through virtual collaboration tools.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Min. 10-15 years of experience
