Introduction

The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational units: Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Health Policy & Management, Population & Reproductive Health, Environmental Health, and Non-communicable Diseases & Mental Health.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible to:
  • plan day to day field operations
  • ensuring each member of their teams is fluent with the intervention.
  • overseeing the activity in the field confirming to use the standardized approach, agreed upon during orientation/ training, so that the language does not bias the responses.
  • prepare daily progress report and share progress report with district supervisor
  • report to Research Manager
  • ensure the completeness, proper filings, and archiving of the data collection activities
  • make surprise visits to household and field sites to check quality of data collected
  • check handheld devices on daily basis, especially before the departure of teams to field for charging and application updates.
  • perform back-checking to ensure data quality (10%)
  • preparation and compilation of study progress report in collaboration with the data coordinator of the project
  • share the study findings as per the requirement
  • supervision and monitoring of all project related field activities
  • compile, review, and present weekly project activity and progress reports
  • assist in monitoring data quality and addressing inconsistencies.

Requirements

You should have:

  • MSc. In Epidemiology and Statistics / MPH / Master’s in HPM/ Master’s degree in Psychology/M.Sc. in Anthropology/M.A. Sociology;
  • Preferably with additional certification and knowledge of Good Clinical Practices;
  • 1 year of experience preferably in drafting monitoring and evaluation reports, data and analysis
  • Experience in training teams in project operations;
  • Willingness for frequent travel to remote locations for overseeing quality assurance of departmental research projects and training of local staff;
  • Highly organized and self-motivated;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
  • Ability to work in teams;
  • Integrity and strong research ethics;
  • Strong computer skills; competent in software use for quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Experience of conducting facility and community-based evaluations
  • National travelling as per the requirement of project.
