Research Development Laboratory Technician

Al Rabie is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Lab Technician to join our Research & Development team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates with an engineering background-preferably in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering-who are eager to gain hands on experience in product development and laboratory operations within the food and beverage industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate laboratory and pilot plant equipment daily in accordance with safety standards and SOPs.
• Conduct routine calibration, verification, and basic maintenance of lab equipment.
• Prepare product batches, trial samples, and formulations based on instructions from the Product Development team.
• Follow precise recipes and procedures to support product development activities.
• Assist in conducting experiments, collecting data, and preparing trial documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well organized laboratory environment.
• Handle moderate lifting of ingredients, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of raw materials and finished samples.

Support cross functional coordination with Quality, Production, and Procurement teams when required.

Education, Certification, Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong technical ability and willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
• Basic understanding of lab safety, laboratory practices, and measurement techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks and operating machinery.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
