Research Editor

Role Purpose:

Responsible for editing copy, layout, format, and do minimal content writing to produce clear equity and macroeconomic research reports publications.

Role Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Edits copy for equity and macroeconomic research reports
  • Formats word documents as per company styles
  • Compiles Power point presentations and formatting as per company styles
  • Manages distribution of research to clients, ensuring strict punctuality
  • Administers client record management system
  • Liaises with financial analytics platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) to ensure accurate publication of analyst recommendations and estimates
  • Maintains large amounts of data with accuracy and precision via Google Spreadsheets
  • Compiles and edit of Daily Notes news stories and monitoring of CMS and website content
  • Helps the Assistant Editor to understand and learn their role and above-mentioned tasks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communication or another job-related field

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public affairs, media relations, marketing and/or market research

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Power Point, and Excel
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Positive, professional attitude
  • Exhibit exemplary written/spoken English language skills
  • Ability to use Reuters and Bloomberg
  • Uses innovative thinking and exercises sound judgment to achieve results
  • Strong ability to multi-task, react and think quickly

  • Proofreading equity and macroeconomic research reports on the Middle East and North African markets through the department’s editorial cycle
  • Managing the distribution of research to clients, using the client record management system, while ensuring strict punctuality
  • Administrating the client record management system

Reporting

  • Ensure inclusion of all the legal documents & templates to be included in disclosures
  • Act to verify information
  • Delivers Presentation objectives
