Reservation Supervisor
Overview
The Reservation Supervisor oversees the reservations team to ensure efficient, accurate, and customer-focused booking operations. This role plays a key part in maximizing occupancy, supporting smooth communication between guests and internal departments, and maintaining a high standard of service within the reservations process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Staff: Supervise and guide the reservations team by allocating duties, monitoring performance, and providing training and support as needed.
 - Handle Inquiries: Respond promptly to reservation requests through phone, email, and online channels, providing guests with accurate information about availability, rates, and packages.
 - Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Assist guests in making reservations, address special requests or concerns, and ensure an exceptional and seamless booking experience.
 - Optimise Bookings: Implement procedures and strategies to maximise occupancy rates, minimise booking errors, and enhance revenue opportunities.
 - Coordinate with Other Departments: Act as a liaison between the reservations team and other hotel departments, such as Front Office, Sales, and Housekeeping, to ensure smooth operations and clear communication.
 - Maintain Records: Ensure all reservation data is accurately recorded and updated in the hotel’s reservation system.
 - Report and Analyse: Prepare and review reservation reports, occupancy forecasts, and booking trends to support management decisions.
 
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service excellence.
 - Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
 - Proficiency in reservation and property management systems (PMS IDS and Opera) and online booking platforms.
 - Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
 - Knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality industry practices.
 - Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
 - Fluent in English
 - Arabic beneficial but not essential
