Resident Engineer

Role Description

Eocean Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a full-time, on-site Resident Engineer in Karachi to provide L1/L2 support for a banking client’s WhatsApp Banking platform and Agent Portal. The role involves diagnosing issues, troubleshooting, supporting deployments, managing Linux-based systems, and coordinating with Operations and Development teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining documentation, monitoring application health, and ensuring compliance with service quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of application support, system configuration, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with MS SQL, log analysis, and query debugging
• Proficiency in Linux (basic commands, service checks, log review, and troubleshooting)
• Ability to diagnose and resolve application issues effectively
• Experience with monitoring tools, documentation, and reporting processes
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
• Prior experience in L1/L2 support, on-site customer support, or technical consultancy is an advantage
