Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Restaurant Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this vital role, you will create a warm, friendly atmosphere by greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will ensure every guest feels valued and excited to experience our exceptional dining environment. Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, setting a positive tone for their dining experience
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems on our tablet
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing information about the restaurant and reservation details
• Assist guests with special requests, including accommodating allergies or specific seating preferences
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless guest service flow

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest relations
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in hotel or guest services environments is advantageous
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving standards, and hospitality best practices is desirable
