Restaurant Manager

Small Barn is seeking a poised, hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead front-of-house operations in a refined, guest-centered environment. We are a seasonal, high-touch restaurant known for elevated cuisine, thoughtful hospitality and beautifully executed private events. This is a visible floor leadership role - not a desk position. Key Responsibilities

Service & Guest Experience

  • Lead service from the floor with polish and professionalism
  • Build authentic guest relationships and drive repeat business
  • Execute private events and full buyouts seamlessly
  • Maintain composure during high-volume services

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train and mentor front-of-house staff
  • Uphold elevated service standards with real-time coaching
  • Foster accountability, teamwork and pride

Operational Oversight

  • Manage labor to meet sales and cost targets
  • Oversee cash handling, reconciliations and vendor communication
  • Forecast inventory and protect margins
  • Support revenue growth through strong execution
  • Oversee all Human Resource functions

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of management experience in an upscale restaurant, winery or hotel
  • Strong food, wine and beverage knowledge
  • Experience executing high-touch events or elevated dining service
  • Proficiency with Toast, OpenTable or comparable systems
  • Polished communication skills and strong floor presence

Compensation

  • Full-Time Salary: $72,000
  • Paid time off
