Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth service, high standards, and an inviting atmosphere.
- Lead, motivate, train, and schedule a team of servers, baristas, hosts, kitchen staff, and support personnel.
- Deliver outstanding customer service: greet guests, handle feedback/complaints professionally, and maintain a positive dining experience.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control, and consistency with our Italian recipes and standards.
- Manage inventory, stock ordering, supplier relationships, and cost control to optimize profitability and minimize waste.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, food hygiene standards (HACCP), and UAE licensing requirements.
- Track daily/weekly sales, control labor and food costs, prepare reports, and contribute to budgeting goals.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and foster a collaborative, high-energy team environment.
- Collaborate with ownership on menu updates, promotions, events, and ways to elevate the guest experience.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager (or Assistant Manager) in a high-volume café, restaurant, or fine-dining establishment (3+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of F&B operations, preferably with Italian/Mediterranean cuisine, coffee, gelato, or pastry experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evening/weekend shifts.
- Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory software, and basic financial reporting.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus); additional languages are an advantage in diverse Abu Dhabi.
- Valid UAE residency/visa and driving license preferred.
