Restaurant Manager

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to manage daily F&B operations and reporting for our hotel. The role includes implementing and following daily checklists for bar, confectionery, and opening/closing procedures, preparing and submitting sales, inventory, and wastage reports, and coordinating with the marketing and kitchen teams for menu planning, events, and promotions.

Job Description:

  • Implement and follow daily checklists for opening, bar, confectionery, and closing operations.
  • Prepare and submit daily sales, F&B inventory, bar, confectionery, and coffee machine reports.
  • Track and report wastage, monitor product shelf life, and identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with Marketing to discuss menu trends, customer preferences, pricing, and event planning.
  • Coordinate in advance for major annual events (Eid, Ramadan, Valentine's Day, Independence Day, Christmas) for effective campaigns.
  • Monitor customer service metrics such as wait times and complaint resolution.
  • Maintain a detailed register of guest complaints and ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct regular departmental meetings and ensure effective interdepartmental communication.
  • Coordinate with Head Chef for smooth F&B operations and quick resolution of operational issues.
  • Implement systems to track and resolve interdepartmental complaints and conflicts.
  • Ensure delivery of assigned tasks/projects according to quality standards and timelines.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's required
  • 6 to 8 years or relevant industry experience required

Essential Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, and ability to implement them in the restaurant
  • Understanding of FOH and BOH operations, including room service and delivery
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management principles and ability to assist with inventory tasks
