As the
Retail HR Business Partner (HRBP)
, you will play a key role in supporting retail store teams, area managers, and beauty advisors across multiple locations. You will serve as a strategic HR advisor, driving people strategies that enhance the customer experience, promote brand integrity, and support high-performance teams in a fast-paced, beauty-driven environment. Your partnership will help ensure that retail employees reflect the values and vision of the brand while contributing to commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Business Alignment

Partner with regional and store leadership to align HR initiatives with business performance goals specific to cosmetics retail.

Use HR data (e.g., turnover, productivity, sales per employee) to influence decisions and drive improvements.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

Collaborate with recruitment to attract diverse, brand-aligned retail talent for beauty advisor and store leadership roles.

Oversee onboarding and cultural integration of new hires, ensuring training reflects both product knowledge and customer service expectations in cosmetics.
Employee Relations & Culture

Act as the first point of contact for HR-related issues within retail locations.

Provide expert guidance on employee relations, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.

Promote an inclusive, customer-centric culture in-store and back-of-house.
Performance & Development

Coach store managers on performance management, employee motivation, and team engagement.

Identify high-potential talent and support succession planning for store leadership and beauty advisor career growth.

Facilitate learning programs that emphasize customer experience, skincare/makeup product knowledge, and selling skills.
Engagement & Retention

Drive initiatives that enhance employee morale, reduce turnover, and reward top-performing beauty advisors.

Support brand activations and recognition events that foster a strong team and brand identity.
Compliance & HR Operations

Ensure HR policies are clearly communicated, consistently applied, and legally compliant.

Support audits, employee files, and ensure health, safety, and labor law adherence (including scheduling compliance for beauty retail).

Partner with payroll and HR systems teams to resolve employee queries.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s a plus).

5+ years of HR experience, preferably in
retail
or
cosmetics/beauty
environment.

Solid knowledge of retail labor practices, especially in high-traffic environments (e.g., department stores, beauty counters, flagship stores).

Strong communication and coaching skills.

Ability to influence and collaborate with field leadership and store teams.

Willingness to travel regularly to stores and regional locations (25–40%).
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting luxury beauty brands or cosmetics counters
