Roofing Superintendent

<Job Summary>
Join our dynamic construction team as a Roofing Superintendent, where you will lead and oversee all roofing project operations from start to finish. <Duties>

• Experience with not only asphalt, but also Decra, steel, and IB is very helpful
• Supervise daily roofing operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications
• Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy equipment necessary for roofing installation and repairs
• Conduct quality inspections of work performed, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations
• Manage on-site logistics including material delivery, storage, and inventory control for roofing materials such as metal sheets, shingles, membranes, and flashing
• Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate construction estimates and schedules based on project scope
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for unexpected issues like leaks or structural concerns during the roofing process
• Maintain detailed documentation of daily progress, safety incidents, change orders, and project updates

<Skills>

• Extensive knowledge of roofing techniques, including membrane systems, shingle installation, metal roofing, and restoration methods
• Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., hammers, screwdrivers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), scaffolding equipment, and heavy lifting gear
• Strong background in construction and materials specific for roofing projects
• Experience with various construction disciplines such as carpentry (trim carpentry), plumbing (for roof drainage), welding (metal roof fabrication), framing (metal stud framing), and restoration work
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety standards on-site
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams and liaising with clients or project stakeholders
• Knowledge of building codes related to roofing systems and general construction practices
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights comfortably
• Handyman experience beneficial for troubleshooting miscellaneous onsite issues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
