Safety & HR Specialist

J. H. Walker Inc. depends on well qualified and trained drivers to operate safely in multiple states. The current expansion of our company has given room for a highly motivated individual to join our team as an additional Safety & HR Specialist

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Aggressively recruit well qualified drivers and owner operators

· Ensure all candidates meet our high standards

· Review and process applications of prospective new hires in a timely fashion

· Conduct new hire employee processes such as orientation and employment onboarding.

· Explore creative methods of sourcing qualified candidates

· Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations governing the employment process

· Daily review of applicant tracking system

Ideal candidate will:

· Self-motivated and has ability to work independently

· Strong computer skills including MS Office, Outlook and web-based recruiting applications

· Enjoy working in fast paced environment

· Strong organizational and documentation skills, ability to prioritize

· Proficient written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work with people from all socio-economic backgrounds

· Create, post and monitor job postings and necessary advertisements

· Working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations is a plus

· Effective problem-solving skills, confidence, and strong sense of personal accountability

· Available M – F, 08:00 AM to 5:00 PM with dependable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
