The Safety Officer is responsible for monitoring and implementing the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies on construction sites. The role ensures the safety of workers, equipment, and work activities by conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and enforcing safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Safety Monitoring

Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with safety policies.

Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions immediately.

Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers and visitors.

2. Safety Compliance & Documentation

Maintain site safety records, permits, checklists, and reports.

Prepare incident/accident reports and assist in investigations.

Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and company HSE standards.

3. Safety Training & Awareness

Conduct safety inductions for new workers and visitors.

Deliver toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency preparedness sessions.

Promote a strong safety culture across the site.

4. Emergency Preparedness

Develop and implement site emergency plans and evacuation procedures.

Coordinate fire drills, first-aid readiness, and emergency response activities.

5. Coordination & Communication

Work closely with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.

Stop unsafe work immediately and guide teams to follow safety procedures.

Liaise with management on safety improvement strategies.

Skills & Requirements:

NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA certifications (mandatory/preferred).

Strong knowledge of construction HSE practices (scaffolding, lifting, excavations, working at height).

Good communication, observation, and reporting skills.

Ability to enforce safety rules and motivate workers.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
