Sales Development Intern

A Sales Development Intern supports the sales team by identifying and qualifying potential clients, conducting market research, and managing outreach campaigns via email or phone. Key responsibilities include updating CRM systems, creating sales presentations, and shadowing sales professionals to learn negotiation techniques and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Lead Gen: Research potential clients, identify key decision-makers, and build target lists using platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Outreach & Engagement: Assist with outbound email campaigns, cold calling, and initial communication with prospects.
  • CRM Management: Update and maintain CRM databases (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) with accurate lead data and interaction notes.
  • Sales Support: Prepare proposals, presentations, and sales reports to assist sales staff in closing deals.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential new business opportunities.
  • Training & Shadowing: Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and shadow sales calls.

Requirements and Skills

  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Tools: Familiarity with MS Office/Google Workspace; experience with CRM software is a plus.
  • Mindset: Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
