Role Overview

We are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team who will be

responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities with organizations that can benefit from our intelligent admin solutions. You’ll be the first point of contact for prospective clients and play a pivotal role in building a strong sales pipeline.

This is an ideal position for someone with strong communication skills, a passion for relationship-building, and an interest in the recruitment and talent acquisition space.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Prospecting

● Identify and engage prospective clients that align with Edge’s ideal customer profile through

targeted outreach via phone, email, and social media.

● Utilize sales intelligence platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, ZoomInfo) to research

accounts and contacts.

Lead Qualification

● Conduct initial discovery and qualification conversations to assess prospect needs, business

objectives, and potential alignment with Edge’s solutions.

● Apply standardized qualification methodologies (e.g., BANT, CHAMP) to evaluate sales-

readiness.

Meeting Generation

● Schedule high-quality sales appointments and product demonstrations for Account Executives.

● Ensure a smooth and well-documented handoff process, including detailed notes and call

summaries.

Pipeline Development

● Contribute to the development of a healthy sales pipeline by consistently meeting or exceeding

monthly targets for outreach activity, engagement rates, and meetings booked.

CRM & Data Management

● Maintain accurate and timely records of all prospecting activity, lead status, and engagement

history within the company’s CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Ensure data integrity and

compliance with internal processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

● Work closely with Marketing to align campaign strategies, messaging, and lead funnel

performance.

● Provide feedback from market interactions to support continuous improvement in go-to-market

efforts.

Market Intelligence Gathering

● Stay informed on industry developments, competitive positioning, and customer pain points to

effectively tailor outreach and improve engagement success rates.

Professional Development

● Participate in ongoing sales training, peer coaching, and performance reviews.

● Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and contribute to the evolution of the SDR

playbook and best practices.


What we are looking for

Must-Haves

● 3+ years in sales, business development or lead generation role — ideally in a B2B or service-

based industry

● Exceptional communication, listening, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a senior-

level audience

● You should be self-motivated, disciplined, and organized

● You have a proven track record of achieving targets, daily/weekly/monthly activity goals,

research, and pipeline development goals

● Experience in dealing with challenging situations, i.e. objection handling and overcoming

gatekeepers, and overcome rejection with charisma and courage

● Positive mindset with ability to navigate change and quickly adapt to the industry trends and best

practices

Preferred

● Experience or knowledge in the recruitment or staffing industry is a plus

● Familiarity with sales enablement tools like HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, or similar platforms

● Understanding of how businesses approach hiring, talent planning, and workforce scaling

● Proficient in leveraging AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, LinkedIn AI features, CRM assistants)

to enhance prospecting, research, and outreach.

● Able to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, tone, and relevance, applying sound

judgment before using in client or internal communication.
