Job Title: Sales Engineer – Lighting Solutions

Reports To: Manager

Job Summary

The Sales Engineer – Lighting Solutions is responsible for driving sales of lighting products and solutions by providing technical expertise, developing client relationships, and supporting project-based sales. The role combines technical knowledge of lighting systems with strong sales and negotiation skills to deliver customized solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, architectural, and infrastructure lighting projects
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, architects, contractors, and end customers
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations
  • Provide technical guidance on lighting products, specifications, and applications
  • Assist in lighting design concepts, product selection, and system configurations
  • Support customers with technical documentation, drawings, and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with the design and engineering teams for customized solutions
  • Follow up on approvals, tenders, and order execution
  • Ensure timely communication between customers and internal teams
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
  • Provide feedback to product management for improvements and new product development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical preferred)
  • 2–5 years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in the lighting or electrical industry
  • Strong understanding of LED lighting products, drivers, controls, and standards
  • Knowledge of lighting design software (Dialux / Relux) is an advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel as required

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Sales revenue and target achievement
  • Number of new accounts/projects acquired
  • Conversion rate of leads to orders
  • Customer satisfaction and retention

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary up to AED 8,000 per month
