Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope, requirements, and constraints.
• Prepare comprehensive pricing proposals by evaluating labor, materials, equipment costs, and subcontractor quotes.
• Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable terms that align with project budgets.
• Review contracts and scope of work to ensure all estimates reflect accurate cost control measures and risk assessments.
• Assist in the development of project schedules and resource planning to support realistic bidding strategies.
• Support project management during project execution by providing cost updates, change order evaluations, and budget tracking.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations.
• Solid knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors to optimize costs.
• Familiarity with construction site experience to accurately assess on-the-ground realities impacting estimates.
• Strong skills in cost control, pricing strategies, and contract review to ensure profitable bidding.
