Position Title: Sales Lead
Department: Sales
Location: Jalna, Maharashtra

Role Overview

The Sales Lead is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and managing distribution channels for tile adhesive products. The role involves achieving sales targets, developing new markets, managing the sales team, and building strong relationships with distributors, contractors, and key influencers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Drive volume growth across assigned territories.
  • Ensure consistent revenue growth and profitability.

2. Channel Development & Management

  • Identify, appoint, and manage distributors, dealers, and retailers.
  • Build and maintain strong channel relationships.
  • Resolve channel conflicts and ensure smooth operations.

3. New Market Development

  • Identify and explore new untapped markets.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enter new regions.
  • Establish partnerships and initial sales channels in new markets.

4. Contractor & Influencer Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with contractors, masons, and applicators.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions.
  • Implement loyalty programs and engagement activities.

5. Market Expansion & Coverage

  • Expand sales coverage in untapped and potential areas.
  • Identify and convert new construction projects and institutional buyers.
  • Increase brand visibility and product penetration.

6. Team Management & Training

  • Supervise and guide field sales executives or territory sales officers.
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching.
  • Conduct regular review meetings and field visits.

7. Competition Mapping & Pricing Strategy

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
  • Provide feedback to management on competitive strategies.
  • Recommend pricing structures and promotional schemes.

8. Product Knowledge & Technical Support

  • Ensure the team and channel partners are trained on product usage and benefits.
  • Handle customer and contractor complaints related to product performance.
  • Provide technical guidance when required.

9. Sales Reporting & Forecasting

  • Maintain accurate sales data in CRM or sales systems.
  • Submit regular sales reports and forecasts.
  • Track performance against targets and suggest corrective actions.

10. Stock & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure product availability.
  • Monitor distributor stock levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Basic technical knowledge of construction materials (preferred).
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • MBA (Preferred but not mandatory).

Experience Required

  • 10 years of experience in sales, preferably in construction chemicals, tile adhesives, or building materials.
  • Minimum experience in construction chemicals - 6 years
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
