Job Title: Marine Sales Manager

Department: Sales / Business Development

Location: Khobar, Saudi Arabia

Job Summary:

The Marine Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth in the marine, shipping, and offshore sectors. This role focuses on developing and maintaining strong relationships with ship owners, shipyards, offshore contractors, and suppliers, while promoting the company’s marine products and services. The manager leads the sales team, identifies business opportunities, negotiates contracts, and ensures high levels of customer satisfaction within the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy and Business Development

  • Develop and implement sales strategies targeted at marine, shipping, and offshore clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and potential customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with management to set realistic sales targets and objectives.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ship owners, operators, shipyards, and offshore contractors.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for marine clients, handling inquiries, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling marine products and services.

3. Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the marine sales team to achieve targets.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and develop sales skills within the team.
  • Allocate territories, set individual goals, and monitor team performance metrics.

4. Proposal and Contract Management

  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals tailored to client requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, and technical teams to ensure compliance and feasibility.

5. Reporting and Analysis

  • Track and report sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, and customer interactions in CRM systems.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on sales forecasts, pipeline, and market insights.

6. Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, logistics, and technical teams to ensure smooth order execution.
  • Support product development by providing market feedback and customer requirements.
  • Represent the company at marine trade shows, conferences, and networking events.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 5–10 years of sales experience in the marine, shipping, or offshore sectors, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Should poses strong knowledge in Marine products.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Understanding of marine equipment, spares, consumables, and vessel operations.
  • Familiarity with marine regulatory standards (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership, team management, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

  • Achievement of marine sales targets and revenue growth.
  • Expansion of customer base within the marine and offshore sectors.
