Sales Manager Experience in I Pet Food or FMCG Industry from 7 to 10 Years
Key Responsibilities
1) Sales Planning and Target Achievement
• Set sales targets for different products and sales regions.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase sales.
• Monitor sales performance and take action if targets are not being met.
• Forecast future sales based on market trends and customer demand.
Customer and Distributor Management
• Build and maintain relationships with:
o supermarkets
o pet shops
o veterinary clinics
o distributors
• Negotiate prices, discounts, and supply agreements with customers.
• Ensure customers receive excellent service and regular follow-up.
3) Sales Team Management
• Train, supervise, and motivate the sales team.
• Allocate sales territories and responsibilities to sales representatives.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback.
• Organise meetings to review targets and discuss improvements.
4) Market Research and Competitor Analysis
• Analyse market trends in pet food industry.
• Identify customer preferences, such as demand for:
o dry food
o wet food
o grain-free food
o premium pet food
o puppy/kitten food
o cat litter
• Monitor competitors’ prices, promotions, and new product launches.
• Recommend ways to improve sales and market position.
5) Product Promotion
• Work with the marketing team to promote products through:
o advertising
o in-store promotions
o social media campaigns
o trade exhibitions
• Help launch new pet products into the market.
• Ensure products are displayed attractively in stores.
Sales Reporting and Administration
• Prepare regular reports on:
o sales revenue
o customer growth
o regional performance
o product demand
• Maintain accurate sales records and customer databases.
• Manage sales budgets and control selling costs.
7) Coordination with Other Departments
• Work closely with:
o logistics/warehouse department
o finance department
o marketing department
• Ensure enough stock is available to meet customer orders.
• Help solve issues such as delivery delays or customer complaints.

o FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods)
o animal nutrition products
o retail distribution
• Previous experience in:
o managing key accounts
o handling distributors and wholesalers
o achieving sales targets
o supervising or leading a sales team
3) Industry Knowledge
The candidate should have knowledge of:
• pet food products and market trends
• customer buying behaviour
• competitor brands and pricing
• retail and wholesale sales channels
• product positioning and promotions
Technical / Professional Knowledge
The candidate should be able to:
• prepare and analyse sales reports
• use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• use CRM systems (Customer Relationship Management software)
