Wedding & Event Sales Manager – Highland Lake Inn and Resort
Location: Flat Rock, NC
Compensation: Exempt Base Salary + Commission
Schedule: Full-Time | Some Evenings & Weekends Required

The Role
We’re seeking a results-driven Wedding & Event Sales Manager to lead hospitality sales and grow our events business. This role combines strategic sales leadership with hands-on client engagement, from inquiry through successful event execution. You’ll work closely with our culinary, banquet, and guest services teams to ensure seamless, memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive wedding, banquet, and social event sales to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase market share.
  • Conduct site tours, tastings, and client meetings to showcase venues and services.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, wedding planners, vendors, and community partners.
  • Prepare customized proposals, contracts, and event budgets.
  • Partner with banquet, culinary, and operations teams to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Represent the resort at bridal shows, networking events, and community functions.
  • Mentor and train sales staff on best practices in negotiation, time management, and customer engagement.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in wedding, banquet, event, or hospitality sales (resort/hotel experience preferred).
  • Proven success in meeting sales targets and closing deals.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Experience with CRM or event management software (Visual One, Delphi, Cendyn, Tripleseat, etc.).
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.
