Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Sales & Merchandiser Team Leader to manage and drive the distribution of food and beverage products across the UAE market. The role focuses on leading field sales and merchandising teams, ensuring strong product availability, visibility, and execution across retail and HORECA channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of sales and merchandisers across assigned territories
- Ensure effective distribution of food & beverage products to supermarkets, hypermarkets, groceries, and HORECA clients
- Drive achievement of sales targets, revenue growth, and market share expansion
- Ensure excellent in-store execution: shelf availability, planogram compliance, FIFO, and merchandising standards
- Build strong relationships with key accounts, store managers, and distributors
- Negotiate shelf space, promotions, and visibility agreements
- Monitor stock levels, coordinate with warehouse/logistics teams, and avoid stock shortages
- Conduct regular market visits to track competitor activity, pricing, and promotions
- Analyze sales data, prepare reports, and forecast demand
- Train, coach, and evaluate team performance (KPIs, productivity, coverage)
- Ensure compliance with UAE food safety standards, company policies, and brand guidelines.
- Identify and develop new customers including retailers, wholesalers, hotels, restaurants, and distributors.
- Collect payments and ensure timely follow-ups on outstanding accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in FMCG food & beverage distribution in the UAE
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory/team leader role
- Strong knowledge of UAE retail landscape (Carrefour, Spinniys, Union Coop, groceries, HORECA)
- Experience handling modern trade & general trade channels
- Valid UAE driving license (mandatory for field role)
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel
