The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth in the logistics and supply chain sector. This role requires strong market awareness, networking skills, and a deep understanding of logistics operations such as freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Growth & Client Acquisition

  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities across freight forwarding, transport, warehousing, and logistics solutions.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, online research, and industry events.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to clients.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer queries and ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the operations and customer service teams to ensure timely service delivery and issue resolution.

3. Market Research & Analysis

  • Analyze industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify potential growth areas.
  • Prepare market intelligence reports and recommend strategies for expanding into new segments or regions.

4. Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with operations, finance, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on business goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities in CRM systems.
  • Submit weekly and monthly performance reports, including pipeline updates and client feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • 2–5 years of experience in sales or business development within logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred, if role is field-based).

KPIs / Performance Metrics:

  • New client acquisitions per quarter.
  • Monthly revenue generation vs. targets.
  • Client retention and satisfaction rate.
  • Conversion ratio from leads to contracts.
  • Timeliness and accuracy of reporting and pipeline updates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
