Position Summary: Responsible for sales of Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions and automotive-related trading services, focusing on international logistics coordination, cost optimization, and supply chain efficiency improvement.
Essential Functions:
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with customers and suppliers through ongoing engagement, while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Develop and propose SCM solutions including logistics optimization, cost reduction strategies, inventory improvement, and international trade flow enhancement
- Manage the full sales process including quotations, price negotiations, GTOP entry, progress tracking, business scheme development, contracts/agreements, PPAP coordination, packaging, tooling, VTT, and other customer and supplier requirements.
- Conduct monthly and annual sales and gross profit variance analysis to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead pricing activities including negotiations, adjustments, discrepancy investigations, and corrective actions to protect and enhance profitability.
- Collaborate with Operations to negotiate and resolve sales-related matters with customers and suppliers.
- Achieve assigned sales and gross profit targets through proactive account management and strategic planning.
- Drive process improvements by proposing and implementing efficiency initiatives and standardized work procedures.
- Utilize NetSuite to manage sales transactions, reporting, and account activities.
- Demonstrate strong cross-functional collaboration within the department and across teams.
- Oversee and resolve Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable issues for assigned accounts.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of international automotive trade processes, including import and export regulations.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, invoicing, purchasing, and inventory control processes.
- Strong sales acumen and customer service orientation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions) is required. Candidates may be asked to complete an Excel skills assessment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Education and Experience
- University diploma or Bachelor Level, or experience equivalent
- Three or more years of experience in supply chain management, logistics companies, freight forwarding, international trade, or automotive industry
- Experience in international SCM operations (import/export, logistics cost structure, inventory management) is strongly preferred
Hours Requirements
- This position typically works a standard work week of 40 hours; however, may require nights and weekends as needed for business needs and the success of the position
