Sales Specialist- (Upwork)

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Sales Specialist to join our business development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in generating leads and closing deals on platforms like Upwork, specifically for web design, web development, and related IT services.

The role requires strong proposal writing skills, an understanding of client needs, and the ability to convert leads into long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Search, identify, and bid on relevant projects on Upwork and other freelance platforms.
  • Write customized, high-quality proposals tailored to client requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand project scope and negotiate terms.
  • Coordinate with the technical team to prepare accurate project estimations and timelines.
  • Follow up with potential clients to convert leads into confirmed projects.
  • Maintain and update the CRM with leads, proposals, and client interactions.
  • Achieve monthly sales and closure targets through consistent performance.
  • Stay updated with market trends, competitors, and Upwork policies to enhance bidding strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bidding Specialist / Business Development Executive on Upwork (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of web design and development services (WordPress, Shopify, Laravel, React, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to draft professional and persuasive proposals.
  • Understanding of client requirements, budgeting, and project scoping.
  • Time management, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and project management software (e.g., Trello, ClickUp, or HubSpot) is a plus.
