Job Description – Salon Manager
Location: Karachi
Department: Operations – Women/Men Salon
Position Overview
The Salon Manager is responsible for overseeing daily salon operations to ensure smooth functioning, high-quality services, and customer satisfaction. This role involves staff supervision, client relationship management, inventory control, and maintaining salon premises in line with company standards. The Salon Manager acts as a leader, motivator, and problem-solver, ensuring both employees and clients experience a professional and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Staff Management
- Supervise and lead salon staff, including stylists, beauticians, apprentices, and support staff.
- Schedule, coordinate, and manage work shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and set performance goals.
- Encourage professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and recommending training opportunities.
- Maintain a healthy, positive, and productive work environment, resolving conflicts effectively.
2. Client Management
- Ensure an exceptional client experience by monitoring service quality and client satisfaction.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling with accuracy and efficiency.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Stay informed about industry trends and recommend innovative service offerings to enhance customer experience.
3. Salon Premises & Operations Management
- Oversee cleanliness, organization, and ambiance of the salon to ensure a professional and welcoming environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and sanitation/health standards.
- Manage inventory of products, tools, and equipment; place timely orders to avoid shortages.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for service maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor cash handling, billing accuracy, and financial transactions as per company policies.
4. Sales & Business Development
- Support in achieving monthly/quarterly sales and revenue targets through upselling and cross-selling salon services and products.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and loyalty programs.
- Provide insights on customer preferences and competitor trends to improve business strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Diploma/Certification in Beauty, Hair, or Salon Management will be an added advantage.
- Experience:
- 3–5 years of proven experience in salon management, spa management, or hospitality/retail operations.
- Strong track record of staff supervision, customer service excellence, and operational management.
- Skills:
- Leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in appointment scheduling software and basic MS Office.
