Job Overview
We are looking for experienced SCADA (Electrical) Technicians to support operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems in National Control Centers (NCC) and Distribution Control Centers (DCC).
Core Responsibilities
- Investigate and rectify reported SCADA faults and breakdowns
- Perform preventive & corrective maintenance of SCADA equipment
- Conduct routine system checks, backups, and restoration
- Maintain NCC/DCC system performance and reliability
- Identify hardware faults in equipment, instruments & facilities
- Maintain accurate equipment history and maintenance logs
- Assist supervisor in preparing condition monitoring reports
- Provide technical support to control room operators
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity & safety regulations
- Document incidents, system updates, and configuration changes
Technical Requirements
- Basic knowledge of SCADA systems and power system operations:
- Generation
- Transmission
- Distribution
- Familiarity with GE SCADA system is an advantage
- Understanding of communication protocols
- Awareness of OT/ICS cybersecurity practices
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good written & spoken English (Arabic is an advantage)
Qualifications
- Technical Diploma in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in SCADA systems within Electrical Utilities
Work Schedule
- 8 Hours per Day
- 5 Days per Week
- Emergency Call-Out Support Required
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: QAR9,000.00 - QAR13,000.00 per month
