Scrap Sales Lead / Assistant Manager - Field Based Role

Overview Sell recovered materials at the best achievable price to reliable buyers. This is a field role, you will visit buyer yards, supervise loading when required, verify weights and specs on site, and close deals. Build a strong buyer network, track daily prices, run offers and trials, negotiate clear terms, and close sales that meet margin goals.

Key responsibilities, the selling side

  • Build buyer lists by material: PET, HDPE, PP, mixed paper, OCC, metals, glass and more
  • Track and publish a daily sell price sheet, note buyer specs, credit terms, and lead times
  • Run offers, samples, and trial lots, confirm specs, loading photos, and compliance needs
  • Negotiate rates, payment terms, and delivery, close sales that meet margin targets
  • Expand into new markets, industrial off takers, exporters, and high-grade recyclers
  • Maintain buyer relationships, performance logs, and issue resolution

Must have

  • Two or more years in materials sales, waste trading, scrap, or recycling in Pakistan
  • Strong knowledge of buyer preferences, quality specs, and payment practices in Karachi
  • Willing and able to work in the field, buyer yards, warehouses, ports, and recycling plants
  • Negotiation discipline with written offers, counteroffers, and clear terms
  • Reliable transport in Karachi and use of basic PPE where required
  • Comfort with Google Sheets, WhatsApp, and basic traceability documentation
  • Clear communication in English and Urdu, the regional language, is an advantage

Nice to have

  • Existing network of buyers in Karachi and Sindh
  • Experience with exporters and logistics coordination
  • Familiarity with compliance, permissions, and simple service agreements

KPIs

  • Tonnes sold by grade each week
  • Realisation versus benchmark, margin per tonne and total weekly margin
  • Days to close from offer to payment received
  • Disputes resolved within the agreed time and full data completeness

Compensation Market salary or contractor fee, performance bonus linked to weekly margin and volumes

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Rs30,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
