We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build a career in digital marketing and SEO. While prior extensive SEO experience isn't required, we're looking for a self-starter with a basic understanding of digital marketing principles and an enthusiastic willingness to learn and grow.
In this role, you'll work closely with our SEO Manager and team to support various SEO initiatives that help our portfolio companies achieve top rankings on Google and drive meaningful traffic to their websites. You'll receive hands-on training and mentorship, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of search engine optimization.
Please note: This position requires all work to be performed on site at our office. Remote work is not available.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Publishing
- Upload, format, and publish content on client websites using our custom CMS (similar to WordPress)
- Ensure all content is properly formatted and appears correctly on the website
- Follow established content publishing guidelines and checklists
Internal Linking
- Execute internal linking strategies using our proprietary process
- Receive comprehensive training on our internal linking methodology and follow detailed instructions
- Implement internal links across client websites according to provided specifications
- Maintain accurate records of internal linking activities
Off-Page Link Building
- Assist with off-page SEO activities including content publishing on external platforms
- Follow trained processes for link-building outreach and relationship development
- Execute specific link-building tasks as directed by the SEO Manager
- Support various off-page SEO initiatives with guidance and supervision
Additional SEO Support & Growth
- Complete ad-hoc SEO-related tasks as assigned by the SEO Manager or team lead
- Participate in ongoing training to develop skills and take on increased responsibility over time
- Learn to use SEO tools like Ahrefs and other platforms through hands-on training
- Stay current on SEO best practices and industry trends
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions
- Assist with various projects that support the SEO team's objectives
Required Qualifications
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for team collaboration
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computers and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace)
- Independent Worker: Ability to follow instructions, take initiative, and work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Growth Mindset: Genuine eagerness to learn new SEO techniques, tools, and strategies
- Attention to Detail: Careful and thorough in executing tasks and reviewing work

Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are a plus:
- Basic HTML Knowledge: Understanding of HTML basics for content formatting and optimization
- AI Tool Experience: Familiarity with AI tools for content creation, optimization, or productivity
- Graphic Design Skills: Experience using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar design tools
Previous Marketing Experience: Any exposure to digital marketing, content creation, or social media management
