The Senior Product Manager plays a key role within the FDP Local Product Team, leading the development and delivery of products that address clinical and operational challenges across NHS organisations, systems and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs). Working within the FDP Product Lifecycle Framework, the post holder will guide products from investigation through pilot to adoption.
 
The NHS Federated Data Platform (FDP) supports NHS transformation, enabling organisations to use data, real-time insight and AI capabilities to improve decision-making, patient outcomes and operational performance.
 
Working with frontline users, incubator organisations and supplier partners, the Senior Product Manager will lead product discovery and translate insights into product requirements. They will work with technical, clinical and operational stakeholders to develop solutions aligned to NHS priorities.
 
The post holder will support governance processes and prepare recommendations for review by the FDP Product Board and assurance forums. They will ensure products meet requirements for benefits realisation, clinical safety, information governance and alignment with national priorities, including the NHS 10 Year Health Plan. Working across Demand and Delivery, TOD, AI, Benefits, Clinical Safety and Information Governance teams, they will help deliver impact across the NHS.
 
This role offers the opportunity to improve care delivery while contributing to a major NHS digital transformation programme.
 
Lead Product Discovery and Requirement Development – Work with frontline clinical and operational teams, incubator organisations and stakeholders to understand challenges, define user needs and develop clear product requirements and roadmaps.
 
Manage Products Through the FDP Lifecycle – Own product delivery from investigation and incubation through pilot and adoption, ensuring products are evidence-based, user-centred and capable of delivering measurable benefits.
 
Support Governance and Product Board Activity – Develop business cases, product assessments and lifecycle evidence, presenting recommendations and progress updates through the FDP Product Board and associated governance forums.

What you'll own

This is a builder role, and a senior individual contributor one. You're the design engine of People Enablement. Whatever the company needs built to make people better at their work, it starts here. Onboarding that gets someone contributing in week one. The way managers give feedback. The leadership behaviours we expect as we scale. You own what good design looks like across the work. Some you build yourself, most you get built through others.

Think showrunner. You set the direction, write the first version, then keep the quality high across everything that follows. You're in the room building too, and no part of the work is beneath you. For the right person, this role grows as fast as they do.

You'll report to the Head of People Enablement, and have a hand in the executive and senior-leadership agenda. You'll work alongside two PMs who've been building and scaling this, and know how Nscale works better than most. We're adding this role because the work has outgrown what any one person can hold, not because what's here isn't working. We're also hiring in the US to own performance systems, so you can stay on the build.

Great in this role means people get good at the work faster, and get what they need the moment they need it. At its sharpest, that's a manager having the conversation they used to avoid.

The Opportunity
 The Speech AI Lab at Adobe Research is seeking a Senior Audio Research Scientist to join our speech generative AI and multimodal research efforts, based in San Francisco.
 This role is ideal for researchers who stay deeply up to date with the latest AI model architectures and innovations and are motivated to push them forward in real-world creative systems. You will work alongside a world-class team of scientists and engineers to invent, evaluate, and scale next-generation audio and speech technologies—translating state-of-the-art research into products used by millions.

Lead and execute independent research in speech generative AI, audio modeling, and multimodal learning (text and visuals), with a strong focus on modern large-scale model architectures.
 
Design, analyze, and advance state-of-the-art AI models and training procedures, including foundation models, representation learning, and generative systems for speech and audio.
 
Maintain strong technical currency with the latest developments in model architectures, optimization techniques, data scaling, and training strategies, and apply them creatively to audio and multimodal problems.
 
Demonstrate deep understanding of both audio signal fundamentals and machine learning, enabling principled model design and insightful experimentation.
 
Publish research at leading conferences and journals and pursue patent protection for impactful innovations.
 
Build high-quality research prototypes that demonstrate technical rigor, scalability, and clear paths to product integration.
 
Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure research outcomes translate into robust, real-world impact.
 
Provide technical mentorship and help set a high bar for research quality and engineering excellence. Requirements
 
Ph.D (preferred). or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong research focus in audio, speech, and machine learning.
 
3+ years of research experience in industry strongly preferred.
 
Proven track record of independent research contributions, such as first-author publications or equivalent leadership in research projects.
 
Deep expertise in audio and machine learning, including strong intuition for:
 
Speech and audio generation
 
Audio representations and modeling
 
Training large-scale neural models
 
Hands-on experience with modern AI architectures and training pipelines, and a demonstrated ability to quickly adopt and extend new techniques.
 
Strong Python and deep learning development skills, with attention to performance, reproducibility, and experimental rigor.
 
Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex technical ideas.
 
A clear appetite for real-world impact, coupled with a commitment to technical excellence and high research standards.
