 Monitor regulatory environments to identify emerging compliance risks and requirements; develop strategic responses and guide cross-functional teams in implementing risk-based solutions aligned with business objectives.

 Support the Compliance Officer during regulatory examinations and internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to regulatory inquiries.
 </li>
 <li>
 Foster a culture of compliance by collaborating with business teams and supporting the delivery of training programs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee the development of reports and analytics for senior management, and assess the need for new licenses.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to the design and development of controls by translating AML/CTF regulatory requirements and other applicable U.S. regulatory obligations into actionable measures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supervise the ongoing development of compliance testing programs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Serve as a key advisor and deputy to the Compliance Officer, supporting strategic initiatives, special projects, and critical compliance matters.

 Travel to the U.S. as needed for on-site requirements

 Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Law degree from a nationally accredited U.S. law school.
 </li>
 <li>
 6-10 years of experience practicing law within a law firm; in-house experience is a plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 5-10 years of regulatory and compliance experience within the residential mortgage banking industry across the United States.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to residential and commercial mortgage lending as well as corporate governance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, supported by advanced legal research and writing skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities, demonstrating sound business judgment and effective problem-solving skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Exceptional command of English, both written and verbal.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent organizational and communication skills, with keen attention to detail and strong follow-through.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
 </li>
 <li>
 Highly proactive and resourceful, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and departments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
 </li>
