</h3><div><div>We are looking to hire a Junior Research Scientist or engineer to help us design and build novel systems and tools for decision-making support. A successful candidate should be able to design and implement systems and tools as well as demonstrate their efficacy through comparative performance evaluations or user studies. They should be able to work independently or as part of a team, depending on the project's scope. As we publicly share all our code and data artifacts, good coding &amp; reproducible experimentation practices are a must.

We meet frequently to provide short status updates and have regular technical 1-1s to dive deep into research problems. Successful RAs or REs present their work, progress, and challenges concisely and clearly. They should be keen about publishing their work and findings and strive to meet deadlines.

A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required. The candidate should also demonstrate experience and excellence in systems or tool building, algorithmic thinking, and research. The ability to program in Python, C++, and other frameworks is a must. Comfort with declarative programming, SQL, and data management is highly desired. The job description further outlines desired skill sets, including the completion of advanced courses or projects in systems, HCI, or AI/ML.

 The Ramadi Lab for Advanced Neuroengineering and Translational Medicine develops innovative approaches for the modulation of neural activity throughout the body. We combine mechanical, electrical, materials, and bio-engineering toolkits towards designing minimally invasive technologies for neuromodulation. Our projects are translational in nature and are focused on addressing a specific need in clinical care.  We are seeking researchers who are passionate about Data Science, with an emphasis in Computational Social Science, with a starting date of September 1, 2026. Some of the possible research topics include: (i) social media analysis, (ii) collaboration and teamwork, (iii) gender inequality, (iv) diversity, (v) online controlled experiments, and (vi) network science.
 
 
 The ideal candidate is self-motivated and hard-working with a Masters degree in Data Science, Computational Social Science, Computer Science, or Information Science, or a bachelor&rsquo;s degree with several years of experience and expertise in their field. The position requires experience with at least one of the following: Data Science, Machine Learning, Computational Social Science, Big Data. Relevant skills could include statistical analysis, data management and collection, causal inference, network analysis, graph theory, visualizations, and online tool development. Experience in conducting online controlled experiments is also desired, but not required. Excellent communication skills in English, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and scientific creativity are essential.

 Research Project Description
 
 
 
 Support for multiple capabilities and mixed technologies has increased the cost of ownership of advanced electronics chip manufacturing foundries. For instance, the cost of owning a chip foundry will be $5 billion in 2015. As a result, many of the chip design companies cannot afford owning and acquiring expensive foundries and hence, outsource their design fabrication to offshore foundries. This globalization of Integrated Circuit (IC) design flow has introduced security vulnerabilities. If a design is fabricated in a foundry that is outside the direct control of the (fabless) design house, reverse engineering, malicious circuit modification, and Intellectual Property (IP) piracy are possible. An attacker, anywhere in this design flow, can reverse engineer the functionality of design, and steal and claim ownership of the IP. An untrusted IC foundry may overbuild ICs and sell the excess parts in the gray market. Rogue elements in the foundry may insert malicious circuits (hardware Trojans) into the design without the designer's knowledge. Because of these and similar hardware-based attacks, the semiconductor industry loses $4 billion annually. This project aims at understanding the aforementioned hardware security and trust issues, surveying the existing solutions, and proposing and implementing new ones.

 The Micro- and Nanoscale Bioengineering Lab (MNBL) at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking to recruit a research assistant to study various human diseases using an organ/organoid-on-a-chip approach. Applicants with a strong background in designing and fabricating microfluidic devices and cell culture are encouraged to apply.
 
 
 Research in the MNBL focuses on designing and fabricating microphysiological systems to study various diseases affecting multiple human organs in vitro. Our project involves collaborations with the faculty of Bioengineering and Biology at NYUAD. Responsibilities of the position include growing cells in organ-on-a-chip microfluidic devices, characterizing them using downstream analysis such as bioimaging and omics analysis, and testing new potential drugs on these cells. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment comprising PhD-level scientists, graduate students, and undergraduate students, thereby acquiring valuable skills in writing manuscripts and establishing collaborations across disciplines.

 The Sreenivasan Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Research Assistant to conduct studies examining working memory in human subjects.  Research in the Sreenivasan Lab (http://nyuad.nyu.edu/sreenivasan-lab) focuses on the neurobiological mechanisms that constrain working memory ability. Our projects involve collaborations with Psychology and Biology faculty at NYUAD as well as Psychology faculty at NYU New York. The neuroimaging facilities at NYUAD include a 3T Prisma MRI, MEG, EEG, and eye tracking.
 
 
 Responsibilities of the position include collecting behavioral and neurophysiological data, programming experiments and analysis routines, as well as managing the day-to-day functioning of the lab.
 
 
 Candidates must hold a bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent, though a master&rsquo;s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MATLAB or an equivalent programming language, strong computational skills, and a background in experimental psychology or neuroscience. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience and interest in addressing questions about working memory using neuroimaging. Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
