 The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design review, construction oversight, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and related building systems across university projects and facilities. The role encompasses electrical infrastructure and building services, including substations, high- and low-voltage distribution systems, emergency power systems, generators, and ELV systems such as structured cabling and networking, SMATV, car park management systems, gate barriers, fire alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV surveillance systems, building automation, system integration, lighting controls, and IT-related systems.
 
 
 The successful candidate will provide technical expertise throughout the entire project life cycle, from feasibility studies and design development through construction, commissioning, handover, warranty, training, operations, and the defect liability period.
 
 
 
 Job Responsibilities

 Carry out snagging and defect inspections, prepare reports, and oversee rectification works before project handover and during the defect liability period.

 Investigate equipment failures, diagnose faults, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

 Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, budget, quality standards, and timelines.

 Prepare Material Requisitions (MRs) and Work Requisitions (WRs) for tendering and bid inquiries.

 Conduct technical evaluations, bid tabulations, and contractor/vendor assessments.

 Review and respond to technical queries, technical deviation requests, material approval requests, and other project-related technical submissions.

 Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited and reputable university.

 Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, construction, and building services.
