Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CAD Operator to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for performing design and drafting tasks, and ensuring accuracy in technical drawings and documentation.
What You'll Be Doing:
<ul><li>The CAD technician will be responsible for all drafting work required to finalize changes in design, IFC and the as-built drawings.
</li><li>Performs basic drawing layout and plan drawings from sketches prepared by designers using CAD, Micro Station and Civil 3D platforms.
</li><li>Performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
</li><li>Adjusts or changes to drawings as directed during advanced planning stages and actual construction.
</li><li>Using CAD, Micro Station and Civil 3D draws and letter charts and diagrams for the presentation of various statistical data; ensure standard presentation.
</li><li>Liaise with Engineers about the drafting requirements.
</li><li>Involved in preparation, checking and record keeping of the as-built drawings and records.
</li><li>Files and maintains drawings and flash memories/hard drives as directed by the SRE/RE; ensure proper backup and archiving.
</li></ul>What Required Skills You'll Bring:
<ul><li>Diploma, high school certificate or equivalent but candidates with diploma of associate engineer will be given preference.
</li><li>Appropriate and recognized diploma/certification in Auto CAD/Micro Station and Civil 3D.
</li><li>Minimum seven (7) years of demonstrable experience in all aspects of civil supervision on major infrastructure projects preferably in the Gulf region.
</li><li>Civil 3D, Micro Station and CAD experience is a must.
</li><li>Should be able to perform complex drafting assignments utilizing both manual and computer aided design and drafting software; plan, sections, elevations, details, construction documents for review and approval.
</li><li>Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
</li><li>Must be very good in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.

Job Summary: The CAD Operator and Low Voltage Systems Designer is responsible for using software to create 2D and 3D designs for fire protection and other low voltage system type projects. The individual shall participate in the coordination for the associated tasks required to establish timelines and budgets, as well as solve problems during the entire project process. Majority of these responsibilities will be performed in the office with an occasional site survey when required. They will support both internal and external customers with system-related questions related to the designs they produce.
