 A successful candidate should possess the following experience and qualifications:

 Diploma/Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or Equivalent with minimum 5+ years of experience of leading end-to-end customer experience quality audits for digital, product, service design and / or operations in luxury hospitality, Michelin Star and / or high-end restaurants, cruise liners and / or full-service airline.

 Intermediate to advanced skill in MS Office and visualization tools such as Power BI, Pisano, Qualtrics

About the Role
You will work closely with product managers, designers, and experience strategists to translate complex datasets into meaningful narratives that shape the future of aviation.
As the Senior Specialist &ndash; Commercial (Catering), you will support the Head of Commercial within the Product Development and Design Division (PDD). Your are responsible for conducting financial evaluation, investment appraisal and financial modelling for PDD&rsquo;s strategic initiatives, specifically for Inflight Catering &amp; Culinary functions, cost optimization for menu cycles, catering tenders and celebrity chef programs. You will also extend to qualitative analysis and providing financial guidance across the project lifecycle &ndash; from feasibility, budget planning, business case development, through to ROI tracking, vendor pricing analysis and cost optimization reviews. Your role is a pivotal part in ensuring that design and product decisions are underpinned by robust financial justification aligned to Qatar Airways commercial objectives.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:<ul><li>
Develop, manage, and continuously refine detailed cost models to accurately track and forecast key catering metrics, including cost per passenger, cost per meal, and wastage rates across all cabin classes and routes..</li><li>
Support the development of business case, including CAPEX/OPEX modelling, and payback analysis where required.</li><li>
Support long-term financial planning by contributing 5~10 years product investment forecast and annual budget cycles, ensuring financial alignment across all business stakeholders.</li><li>
Perform regular variance analysis, comparing actual costs against budget and forecast, and present detailed, cadenced reports to catering and culinary leadership to identify risks and opportunities.</li><li>
Support SMEs on procurement evaluations, contract structuring, commercial negotiation and commercial documentation management with supplier for key product development partners.</li><li>
Prepare financial briefing materials for Steering Committee, C-Suite and Board reviews related to major product investments.</li><li>

 Category Management

 Develop and execute category strategies aligned with overall commercial objectives.

 Candidate Profile

 3&ndash;5+ years of experience in category management, buying, or sales within FMCG, foodservice, or retail (proteins/seafood preferred).
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with perishable goods is highly desirable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be familiar with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with chefs or hospitality customers is a strong advantage.

&sect; Relevant experience in defining selection criteria for technology providers and identifying suitable vendors and service providers
&sect; Experience defining the business case to include assigning financial value to technology capabilities and process improvements from technology implementation
&sect; Expert level understanding and knowledge of Information Management fundamentals and the ability to applying them across a broad range of disciplines.
&sect; Proven experience with Enterprise Data Management (Master Data Management, managing Reference Data, Data modeling, integration, Data Warehousing, Metadata, Data Quality, Analytics and managing data in a hybrid cloud environment). Specific experience requirements are attached to Master Data Management, experience in processes and practices related to operational (transactional data management) and Data Quality Management.
