 As Demi Chef you will help the Executive Chef to prepare appetizers, as well as meat and vegetables for entrees. You further will help with the proper presentation of food, and ensure that that each customer is served the highest quality food in a timely manner. As Demi Chef you will participate in selecting and training new members of the kitchen team. They must follow and enforce health and safety standards in the kitchen. They should possess a high level of cleanliness, both in the kitchen and in personal hygiene. You should be familiar with working efficiently and quickly under pressure.

 Organize all activities within a Restaurant Kitchen area, ensuring a safe, smooth-running, and profitable operation within the framework of the Hotel.

 To develop and maintain the restaurant's cuisine concepts and standards for food preparation and presentation. To be familiar with the local market and recommend menu changes according to the seasonal product availability.

 To achieve department budget goals and minimize food cost by ensuring that proper preparation, inventory, requisition, food pars, and control systems are in place.
 </li>
 <li>
 To adhere to Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to our guests. Continually look to recommend improvements and additions to the Anantara presentation guidelines.

 To maintain food safety &amp; protection. All food in working areas should be in compliance with food handling techniques, including dating, proper storage, rotation, etc. Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.

 To be responsible for maintaining outlet safety at all times.

 High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years kitchen experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting. Diploma in Culinary Arts or similar is preferred.

 Knowledge of the use of broiler equipment and understanding of meat and fish cookery, proficient knife skills and understand farm to table concept.
 </li>
 <li>
 Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.

 I have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and I am able to live in a remote location for extended periods of time and travel on single status.
