<b>Summary of Position:
</b><br>
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Director of Major Gifts will implement strategies to increase philanthropic support from individual and major donors to advance the mission of BHCHP. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts from individuals in the five and six-figure range, as well as strong experience in overseeing all aspects of planned giving.<br>

<b>Key Responsibilities:</b><br>

<b>Donor Strategy, Cultivation, Solicitation, and Engagement:</b><ul><li>
Collaborate with Chief Development Officer, senior leadership, President, CEO, and board members to set funding priorities and engage in individual donor cultivation and solicitation activities;
</li><li>Develop mutually agreed upon fundraising goals and metrics for mid-level and major donors to ensure progress towards overall Development Team goal;</li><li>
Develop a comprehensive individual major gifts strategy aligned with the organization&rsquo;s mission and goals;</li><li>
Identify potential major gift prospects, including re-engagement of lapsed donors, and create personalized cultivation plans;</li><li>
In partnership with CDO and Director of Development Operations, create and prioritize portfolio assignments for individual giving;
</li><li>Work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to maximize opportunities to engage and steward mid-level donors and, as appropriate, identify prospective major donors;</li><li>
Organize and oversee donor cultivation events, facility tours, personalized meetings, and engagement activities. Meet with approximately 10 -15 donors monthly;</li><li>
Coordinate with Development Team colleagues on engagement and stewardship of leadership donors sponsoring the annual Medicine that Matters Gala;</li><li>
Prepare and write briefings for CDO and senior leadership;</li><li>
Develop and implement stewardship plans to ensure engagement and retention of major donors; and</li><li>
Prepare compelling and effective funding requests and proposals, stewardship reports and ongoing communication pieces for leadership and prospective donors.</li></ul><b>
Leadership and Collaboration:</b><ul><li>
Supervise and provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development to the Individual Giving Manager and potentially to an additional Major Gifts Officer in the future;</li><li>
Work closely with the development and leadership teams to integrate major gifts initiatives into overall fundraising efforts;</li><li>
Work with donors, the President and CEO, and independently to open doors to potential major gift donors and leverage the existing relationships of the President and CEO to secure meetings when appropriate.</li><li>
Reignite BHCHP&rsquo;s Philanthropic Advisory Council to engage leadership donors in broadening BHCHP&rsquo;s base of support; and</li><li>
Collaborate with the Communications Team to create targeted messaging and communications materials for major gift prospects.</li></ul><b>
Data Management, Research, and Reporting:</b><ul><li>
In collaboration with the Development Operations Team, create a system for timely documentation of detailed information relating to current mid-level, major, and prospective individual donors and donor interactions in Raisers Edge donor database;</li><li>
Generate regular reports to track progress, analyze fundraising metrics, and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies;</li><li>
Conduct research to identify new potential major gift prospects; and</li><li>
Analyze donor-giving patterns and wealth indicators to prioritize and qualify prospects;
</li><li>Perform other duties as needed and assigned by the CDO.</li></ul><b>
Key Qualifications</b><ul><li>
4-year college degree required, with 8 - 10 years of demonstrated success in soliciting/securing gifts from individuals in the five to six-figure range;</li><li>
Strong commitment to social justice and the mission of BHCHP, knowledge of issues relating to healthcare, poverty, and homelessness preferred;</li><li>
Proven experience in major gift fundraising, including experience in planned giving, legacy giving, and campaign fundraising;</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines;</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to take primary responsibility for a diverse number of projects and to complete them promptly with limited supervision;</li><li>

  The Associate Director of Operations (ADOO) is a member of the High School Leadership Team who leads the day-to-day operations of the school and reports directly to the High School Director of Operations. The ADOO will partner on many school leadership initiatives with the school&rsquo;s Academy Leader. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

   Partnering with and providing operational support to key stakeholders and leaders such as the Athletic Director and the HS 2.0 Program Manager;
  </li>

   Implementing coverage system on a daily basis;

   Developing and managing the HS schedule, including teacher and student schedules, classroom schedules, and duty assignments;
  </li>

   Owning facilities management to ensure facilities are safe, well-maintained, and meet the needs of students and faculty;

   Any additional responsibilities identified by the DOO, including but not limited to student persistence and enrollment, major events, tracking time off, etc.

The Physician Reviewer will provide an interpretation of the medical necessity of services provided by other healthcare professionals in compliance with client specific policies, nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines, and standards of care.</p><p></p><p><b>
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><ul><li><ul>

Reviews all medical records and addresses each question posed by the client utilizing client specific criteria or other nationally recognized evidence-based criteria</li>
<li>Ensures that the rationale for the determination is clear, concise, and contains adequate supporting documentation to substantiate the decision</li>
<li>Identifies, critiques, and utilizes current criteria and resources such as national, state, and professional association guidelines and peer-reviewed literature that support sound and objective decision-making and rationales in reviews; refrains from using case studies, cohorts, and the like to make decisions due to their limited sample sizes</li>
<li>Provides copies of any criteria utilized in a review with the report in a timely manner</li>
<li>Returns cases on or before the due date and time</li>
<li>Makes telephone calls as mandated by the state and/or client specifics</li>
<li>Maintains proper credentialing and state licenses and any special certifications or requirements necessary to perform the job</li>
