In this role, you will:
Scope &amp; Impact<ul><li>
Manage an assigned ER caseload end&#8209;to&#8209;end (intake through closure), including investigations into alleged Code of Conduct, policy, and workplace conduct violations; deliver well&#8209;reasoned findings and clear, defensible documentation.</li><li>
Partner with leaders to address performance and conduct issues using coaching, counseling, and progressive discipline; ensure accurate, timely documentation in the approved case management systems.</li><li>
Support the organization&rsquo;s threat management response by escalating risk indicators, coordinating with Global Security and Legal, and helping implement GPO&#8209;led mitigation steps that safeguard employees and operations.</li><li>

Responsibilities
Investigation &amp; Case Management<ul><li>
Own individual investigation workflow: develop investigation plans, conduct impartial interviews, analyze evidence, determine findings, and prepare clear, complete reports with supporting exhibits.</li><li>
Collaborate with Legal, Ethics &amp; Compliance, and other stakeholders on complex or high-risk cases.</li><li>
Ensure confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive employee information and workplace concerns.</li></ul>
Advisory &amp; Coaching<ul><li>
Serve as a trusted ER advisor to leaders and TBPs on conduct, performance management, investigations, accommodations, and related ER matters; calibrate recommendations to business risk and cultural impact.</li><li>
Partner with Legal, Ethics &amp; Compliance, Global Security, and site leadership to ensure coordinated, timely responses to sensitive issues and threat scenarios.</li><li>
Communicate investigation status and outcomes appropriately; provide pragmatic, actionable recommendations (e.g., corrective action, policy/process updates, training).</li><li>
Partner with TBPs and leaders to address performance concerns early, ensuring alignment with company values and expectations.</li><li>

Policy, Compliance &amp; Risk Management<ul><li>
Apply and help reinforce standardized investigative methods and documentation practices for Code of Conduct matters and other ER cases.</li><li>
Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and progressive discipline guidelines; record all actions in approved systems per policy.</li><li>
Drive revisions to people policies and practices to foster a fair, inclusive, and compliant work environment.</li><li>
Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., EEO, ADA, FMLA) and escalate legal risk appropriately.</li></ul>
Strategic Project &amp; Continuous Improvement
<ul><li>Analyze case trends, root causes, and hotspots; translate insights into prevention strategies, training topics, and policy/process improvements.</li><li>

 Position Summary
 
 
 
 The HR Business Partner will provide support for Corporate employees across HUB. The role will also participate in and support corporate and enterprise initiatives. The position is a hybrid role located in Chicago, IL and will also remotely support employees across the US and Canada.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Business Partner Consultation
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide direct HR business partner support to the senior leaders of HUB&rsquo;s Shared Services Accounting functions, and their ongoing growth and evolution
 </li>
 <li>
 Build and maintain strategic relationships with leaders and managers, including HUB&rsquo;s executive leadership team. Become part of the team and culture of the Shared Services Accounting functions
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop thorough understanding of the business, troubleshoot talent issues, and address Employee Relations and engagement concerns
 </li>
 <li>
 Work closely with Centers of Excellence (COE) and other Field HR colleagues to deliver key services and expertise
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Project leadership and Support
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Drive and participate in talent initiatives to create and implement best practices across HUB
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide guidance and support for projects focusing on all aspects of an employee&rsquo;s lifecycle, including: onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, employee development, succession planning, and the employee value proposition
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Employee Relations and Advocacy
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Advise managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues, including: coaching, researching/investigating situations and recommending business-driven, proactive, and inclusive solutions
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Performance Management
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Drive more efficient and effective ways to educate employees and leaders on performance management processes and culture.
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Compensation
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Ensure pay practices are equitable and competitive, partnering with our Compensation COE and Finance as needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Drive and support the merit and bonus payout process, internal equity reviews, job architecture, career ladder/lattice creation, and job description updates
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Data Analytics &amp; Insights
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Leverage corporate scorecards, various digital tools, and spreadsheets to collect, analyze, and communicate key data to leaders to facilitate educated and informed business decisions
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Communication
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Create and design content and educational material for employee and manager development.
 </li>
 <li>
 Keep employees and leaders informed through regular talent updates in collaboration with team members and HR SME&rsquo;s
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Cross-HR collaboration
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Work with field HR and corporate SME colleagues to deliver the best employee experience in a highly decentralized organization.
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 </ul>
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in HR, business, or a related field
 </li>
 <li>
 At least 5+ years of generalist/HR Business Partner experience, including: leadership partnership and coaching, employee relations, project management, employee engagement, DEI, training, data analytics, and HRIS system updates
 </li>
 <li>
 PHR/SPHR certification a plus
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience participating in and driving initiatives that span a variety of talent topics, including: employee engagement, change management, DEI, performance management, and talent management
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with HR SME teams - including HRIS, payroll, benefits, compensation, and recruiting &ndash; to answer employee and manager questions, and deliver on key initiatives
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in the insurance/financial services industry, and/or experience with technology clients preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency with/desire to learn HR legal requirements across US and Canada
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience remotely supporting employees in multiple locations and countries
 </li>
 <li>
 Detail oriented and organized when reviewing, consolidating, and manipulating employee data
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to influence business decisions using data analytics
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Workday (HRIS)
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing business needs and demands
 </li>
 <li>
 Adaptability in handling ambiguous situations
 </li>
 <li>
 Flexibility in doing a range of work, from day-to-day transactions to strategic organizational initiatives with leaders

 Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $85,000- $100,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate&rsquo;s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position&rsquo;s business line, scope and level.
