WORKING CONDITIONS</b><br>

Job Summary</b></p><p>
Responsible for inspecting, maintenance, repairing and preventive maintenance on sites Power Quality, Ground Support Equipment, Fire and Safety Hazards, Lighting Standards, Comprehensive Electrical System Surveys, Electrical System Inspections.</p><p></p><p><b>
Roles and Responsibilities
</b></p><ul><li>Maintains, inspects, and repairs the site&rsquo;s electrical system automatic transfer switches for all sites, and monitors electrical connections on site generators.</li><li>
Maintains and repairs low voltage (600 volts and below) real property electrical systems to the code that it was installed.</li><li>
Maintains and repairs the electrical systems (600 volts and below) on feeder circuits from the main lugs (secondary bushings) on the load side of pad mounted transformers for underground systems, and the standard utility connection point of an overhead riser or meter loop, transformers, streetlights, grounding equipment, electrical manholes, and other systems on-site.</li><li>
Install, repair, replace, modify, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, the disaster warning system, and intrusion alarm systems to maintain proper operational capability IAW UFC 3-601-02, NFPA, and the original equipment manufacturer's instructions.</li><li>
Performs installation, operation, maintenance, repairs, and disposal of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems.</li><li>
Must have mandatory knowledge on the principles of HVAC/R systems, controls, and components.</li><li>
Must be highly proficient in the troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance and rewiring of the site&rsquo;s fleet of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, in particular the 5-Ton Environmental Control Unit (ECU) built by Alaska Structures Incorporated.</li><li>
Should have the ability to interpret drawings and schematics.</li><li>
Must know and be able to apply the fundamentals of HVAC/R equipment and troubleshooting techniques, and environmental regulations for fuels, refrigerants, and hazardous materials. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities.</li><li>
Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various cleanup activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting.</li><li>
Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Additional general duties:</b></p><ul><li>
Acts as Alternate Maximo and Alternate Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) and Hazardous Waste (HAZWASTE) key person.</li><li>
Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on assigned heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units, power generation equipment, permanent and temporary structures including doors, windows, sinks and toilets.</li><li>
Performs corrosion control measures on site structures such as entry control points, force protection points, fences, gates, and signs.</li><li>
Maintains and operates the assigned material handling equipment (MHE) such as the Bobcat multipurpose handler and associated attachments, 2.5K and 10K forklifts and manlift.</li><li>
Maintains and operates the assigned grass cutting equipment such as riding and push type lawnmowers, Bobcat lawnmower attachment and weed trimmers.</li><li>
Maintains and operates the assigned snow removal equipment such as the tracked and wheeled snowblowers and the Bobcat snowplow and snowblower attachments.</li><li>
Participates in the bimonthly Morale Welfare and Recreational (MWR) schedule.</li><li>
Operates and drives the company vehicles to perform twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays) mail pick-up and delivery runs to Misawa AB, Japan Air Post Office (APO).</li><li>
Concurrently, completes shopping requirements at the Misawa AB commissary and exchange for the site-operated kiosk.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Basic Qualifications
</b></p><ul><li>At least 5 years of experience.</li><li><b>
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
</b></li><li>Must possess active secret security clearance</li><li><b>
Possess an EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification or be able to obtain the certification within 30 days of arrival at the job site.
</b></li><li>Prefer an electrical technician certification required by contract and laws (to include DoD and U.S. Army directives and regulations.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
