 As a Datacenter Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, capacity management, and optimization of our data center fleet.  Key Responsibilities

 Capacity Planning: Develop and maintain long-term capacity plans for critical data center resources, including space, power (electrical, PDU, UPS), cooling, and networking infrastructure.
 </li>
 <li>
 Infrastructure Design &amp; Review: Work closely with Design, Construction, and Operations teams to define technical requirements and evaluate new data center designs and upgrade projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Forecasting: Utilize business growth forecasts and IT hardware roadmaps (servers, storage, networking) to model resource consumption and identify potential capacity constraints proactively.
 </li>
 <li>
 Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and ROI (Return on Investment) analysis for capital expenditures (CapEx) related to capacity expansion.
 </li>
 <li>
 Standards &amp; Documentation: Define and standardize capacity planning metrics, tools, and processes across all regions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Hardware Management: Rack, cable, configure, and decommission server and networking hardware according to established standards and procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Risk Management: Identify potential risks to capacity and propose mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
 </li>

 Required Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>

 Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum of 5 years of experience in datacenter planning, engineering, operations, or a highly related infrastructure role.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of critical data center infrastructure components (HVAC, CRAC, UPS systems, PDU, Generators, Transformators, Cctv, Fire Suppression).
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven ability to perform complex analytical modeling, capacity forecasting, and statistical analysis (advanced Excel).
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical and financial data to executive leadership.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in Autocad, Skech Up or Revit
 </li>
