 Oaklands Global is currently recruiting an IFE Technician on behalf of one of our leading aviation clients in the Middle East. This flying role supports a high-profile operation and requires a candidate who is resourceful, resilient, effective in communication, and able to exercise a high level of discretion in challenging situations. The position includes day-to-day responsibilities, with the expectation to gain comprehensive familiarity with the fleet&rsquo;s IFE systems, reporting directly to the Base Maintenance Manager.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Maintain the serviceability and readiness of IFE carry-on devices by ensuring they are up to date, working efficiently and have active subscriptions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the Engineering Department with the maintenance and troubleshooting of IFE/CMS systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deliver technical assistance for defect investigations and operational issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage and update software, firmware, and hardware configuration records for IFE/CMS equipment across the fleet.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to the development of operational procedures for equipment not covered in the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM).
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate and carry out regular content updates.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support and facilitate training initiatives, such as OJT sessions and structured refresher courses.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work closely with the Corporate Planning Department on system upgrades, technology refresh planning, and the integration of new IFE/CMS technologies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide backup support for flying IFE engineers during operational flights when required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, system modifications, and enhancements.
 </li>

 Perform additional duties as assigned by the direct supervisor to support objectives.

 Requirements
 
 
 <ul>

 Ideally, the successful candidate will hold a B2 License, although applications from unlicensed engineers will also be considered.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum of 5 years&rsquo; experience in aircraft maintenance, including at least 3 years specialising in IFE/CMS systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong experience in maintaining and troubleshooting IFE/CMS systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in managing and documenting software, firmware, and hardware for IFE/CMS equipment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance for aircraft entertainment systems.
 </li>

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and certified Mechanic Technician, Sr. EVT, to support our maintenance operations. This role is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including forklifts, loaders, trucks, emergency vehicles, and other heavy machinery. The mechanic will report directly to the Project Leader and play a critical role in ensuring all equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with operational standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
<ul><li>Must have strong Mechanical background and abilities. Responsibilities may include inventory of special bench stock items dedicated to repair and maintenance of fire Emergency Vehicles and Critical Equipment (EVTCC) supporting fire and emergency services in the Middle East, Central Asia (ME/CA).</li><li>
Technicians must hold a Level 2 Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certification/qualification, as defined by the EVT Certification Commission, Inc. (EVTCC), in the area of [e.g., Fire Pump and Plumbing] is required.</li><li>
Responsible for delivery of critical parts to designated sites and submits requisitions to replace special bench stock.</li><li>
Submits and tracks parts and supply requisitions for fire assigned vehicles and critical equipment.</li><li>
As directed by F&amp;ES, is responsible for inventory of special bench stock items dedicated to repair and maintenance of EVCE and stands inventory audits as appropriate.</li><li>
Will be a designated member of the Mobile Maintenance Contact Team (MMCT) in support of site local maintenance for fire assigned vehicles and emergency critical equipment.</li><li>
Reports to sites (as directed) to assist local maintenance with hands on EVCE troubleshooting and repair.</li><li>
Performs direct, hands-on Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) and repairs as appropriate.</li><li>
Provides local maintenance guidance and training on EVCE.</li></ul>
Basic/Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance.</li><li>

Mastered various mechanical principles as applied to power transmission and braking systems, engine electrical systems and hydraulics.</li><li>
Mastered NFPA 1901 standard for automotive fire apparatus and NFPA 1911 standard for the inspection, maintenance and testing of automotive fire apparatus.</li><li>
Mastered fault determination through systematic troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.</li><li>
