Job Summary:We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support financial operations across a group of companies.This role includes overseeing day-to-day accounting tasks, managing a team of junior accountants, ensuring accurate data entry and coordinating closely with the Senior Accountant to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and financial planning.Key Responsibilities:Accounting Operations:<ul><li>Supervise and review day-to-day accounting functions across multiple entities (group companies).</li><li>Oversee accurate data entry and transaction recording by the accounts team.</li><li>Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable processes.</li><li>Review and post journal entries, invoices, payments, and other transactions.</li></ul>Team Supervision:<ul><li>Lead and mentor a team of 4 junior accountants.</li><li>Review team output for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.</li><li>Allocate tasks effectively and ensure timely completion of responsibilities.</li><li>Provide training and ongoing support to team members.</li></ul>Reporting &amp; Reconciliation:<ul><li>Assist the Senior Accountant in preparing consolidated financial reports.</li><li>Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and ledgers.</li><li>Support month-end and year-end closing processes.</li><li>Prepare financial data for audits and assist during audit reviews.</li></ul>ERP &amp; Software Management:<ul><li>Utilize and manage entries within ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) and QuickBooks.</li><li>Ensure data integrity across financial platforms and accounting tools.</li><li>Collaborate with the Senior Accountant during ERP implementation and process improvements.</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Internal Controls:<ul><li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls.</li><li>Support the maintenance of accurate financial documentation and records.</li><li>Assist in VAT/tax documentation and liaise with consultants as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>3&ndash;5 years of experience in accounting, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.</li><li>Experience handling group company accounts is preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in Odoo, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.</li><li>Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliation, and data validation.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to manage a small team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Knowledge of UAE accounting and tax regulations is a plus.</li></ul>Soft Skills:<ul><li>Proactive and collaborative mindset.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Good communication skills (written and verbal).</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.</li><li>Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:Accounting: 3 years (Preferred)Supervisor: 1 year (Preferred)Language: English (Preferred) Hindi (Preferred)Work Location: Ajman, UAEJob Type: Full-timeJob Type: Full-timeApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Have you worked with group company accounts before?
