 We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Lead Engineer to drive the design, integration, and delivery of complex smart infrastructure solutions across data centres, SCADA, BMS/DCIM, IoT, and enterprise AI platforms. This role demands an ideal blend of deep technical expertise and delivery leadership &mdash; someone who can own end-to-end engineering outcomes while collaborating across multi-vendor, cross-functional teams. In later project phases, the role will progressively take on project management responsibilities, steering delivery planning, stakeholder coordination, and operational handover.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>

 Lead end-to-end solution design and implementation for integrated systems spanning data centres, SCADA/OT, BMS, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and AI/analytics platforms.

 Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives and AI-driven solutions.
 </li>

 Define and manage integration architecture across multi-vendor platforms, including APIs, middleware, data pipelines, and OT/IoT protocols (BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, REST).
 </li>

 Develop and review high-level and low-level design documents (HLD/LLD), architectural blueprints, and vendor proposals, ensuring system feasibility and seamless cross-platform integration.

 Define and document data flows across systems &mdash; from IoT sensors and gateways through to DCIM/BMS, CCTV/VMS, analytics engines, and command &amp; control dashboards.

 Act as the technical bridge from initial design discussions through to final delivery, working closely with project managers, business analysts, architects, developers, and external partners.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with the PMO and product managers to assess resource requirements, delivery goals, and potential risks; identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project quality and timelines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee system integration testing (SIT), UAT, and commissioning activities, validating that delivered solutions meet performance, security, and regulatory requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and maintain high-quality technical documentation including architecture documents, integration diagrams, data flow diagrams, test plans, SOPs, and acceptance criteria.
 </li>

 Provide cost modelling and technical inputs for financial forecasts, including BoMs, CAPEX/OPEX estimates, and TCO projections based on solution design.

 Support value engineering and scenario analysis, ensuring architecture decisions are cost-optimized, risk-aware, and aligned with budget and business case objectives.

 Qualifications

 10+ years of experience in system engineering, solution architecture, or technical lead roles within smart infrastructure, data centre, or mission-critical environments.

External and Internal Interfaces
<ul><li>Lead Interface Engineer, Project Interfaces, is responsible for engineering coordination and Execution of assigned Interface requirements through close interaction with Internal and External parties/Stakeholders/End Users/Contractors and will also identify, develop, coordinate, expedite and steward till closure of all Project Interfaces.
</li><li>Coordinates and establishes the regular interface meetings between Contractor and Company.

Technical Integration

Design Alignment
</li><li>Overall Responsibility for Interface Deliverables including but not limited to establishing and executing the interconnections with existing Borouge
</li><li>Ensures that the HAZOP of battery limit (interface point) is carried out as per the requirements of the Project.
</li><li>Organize Interface Meetings with internal and external parties for establishing and finalizing of the interface point register for multiple disciplines in a timely manner.
 
Site Coordination
</li><li>Closely working with FEED/EPC Contractor Interface team &amp; other stakeholders.
</li><li>Follow up of the required Interface related documentation and feedback from FEED/EPC contractor and other stakeholders and sharing with Process/Commissioning Manager. Highlights the shortfalls and sought for support needed from the Process/Commissioning.
 </li><li>Manager on time in order to avoid the schedule delay.
</li><li>Focal point for identifying with Operations, Maintenance and Integrity Team, the key Interfaces between Project and Existing Facilities (Brownfield works) with particular focus to Interface/tie-ins during shutdown period activities.

Performance
</li><li>Ensures the Pre-commissioning &amp; Commissioning procedures are prepared on time and the reviews are done by the company on time.

</li><li>Performance assessment: The three above parameters in addition to a set of individual KPI&rsquo;s will be assessed on regular frequency (mid-term &amp; final review) by the Process/Commissioning Manager and the outcome shall be fed back to the individual, clearly identifying areas of improvement (as applicable).
 
Engineering Change Management
</li><li>Review of Interface discipline specific Concession requests issued within the CONTRACT; validate the basis of the request &amp; its impact on technical integrity &amp; justification, prior to requesting endorsement from Process/Commissioning Manager.
</li><li>Monitoring &amp; ensuring that Interface discipline specific design change management is being carried out for all respective engineering changes with proper multidiscipline impact assessment &amp; the same is registered &amp; controlled (as &amp; when required).
 
General
</li><li>Maintain regular meetings with interface discipline counterpart for timely discipline activity coordination &amp; problems resolution as applicable.
</li><li>Communicate discipline specific updates/areas of concern on regular basis to the Process/Commissioning Manager.
</li><li>Address technical conflicts &amp; disputes with Counterpart (CONTRACTOR) in a professional &amp; systematic manner, relevant to governing specifications/codes &amp; actual situation.
 
Operational Plans
</li><li>Oversee and lead the interface executions and achievement to ensure achieving the desired outputs and performance by the team.
</li><li>Continuously monitor the pre-commissioning/commissioning schedule of the project AND Procedures are developed by the FEED/EPC contractor and reviewed by company on time.

</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS
 
Minimum Experience &amp; Knowledge &amp; Skills
<ul><li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university, with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil &amp; Gas or Petrochemical industry, including a minimum of five (5) years (preferred) in the GCC region.
</li><li>Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on major Oil &amp; Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers, and Engineers.
</li><li>ADNOC &amp; Offshore project experience is preferred.
</li><li>PMC experiences are preferrable.
</li><li>Experience in FEED &amp; EPC Phases is required.
